Ohrid Summer Festival has hosted performers, musicians and theatre groups from more than 60 countries and many well-known artists have participated throughout the years. Furthermore, many theatre companies from around the world have been a part of this festival.
The magical places which are selected to host the events add to the atmosphere of the Ohrid Summer Festival: the garden of the Cathedral Church of St. Sophia’s, the Samuil Fortress, as well as the antique theatre. Since 1994, Ohrid Summer Festival has been a part of the European Festival Association. This festival is a great pride for Macedonia and provides a big cultural benefit for the country as well as its visitors.
